Q How do I log in to Canvas LMS?
A
Log in using your Tohoku University ID and password.
Please log in from the "Log in" link on the top right of the page or the Canvas LMS Login Page.
*If you do not know your Tohoku University ID/password, please check with the administrative office of your department.

Q Courses I am supposed to teach/take are not showing up on Canvas LMS.

They will appear once the registration data from the Academic Affairs System is reflected in Canvas LMS, so please wait a while.

Q I updated my data in the Academic Affairs System. When will it be reflected?
A
Canvas LMS and the Academic Affairs System synchronize data three times a day, around 7:00, 12:00, and 16:00.
About Videos
Q When a course is copied, are the videos uploaded to Panopto carried over?
A
Yes, they are carried over. No additional individual operations are required on the Panopto side.
Q What should I do if online class videos or course materials cannot be played/viewed properly?
A
In many cases, this is caused by browser cache or third-party cookie blocking settings. Please try the following:
- Use the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Try opening it in an incognito window (private browsing) in your browser.
- Set your browser settings to "Allow third-party cookies".
Q I want to check if the videos uploaded to Panopto have been completely viewed
A
This can be done by creating a new quiz from "Quizzes" in the course menu and setting the quiz type to "Ungraded Survey".

Q Is it possible to collect survey responses anonymously or download them as a CSV?
A
Yes, it is possible.
Open the quiz created as a survey, access "Survey Statistics", and click "Student Analysis" to download the response status for each student in CSV format.

By linking MATLAB Grader as an "External Tool (LTI)" from the Canvas LMS assignment creation screen, you can enable auto-grading of submitted assignments and grade synchronization.
